Habits
Last updated: July 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how developedbyjacob handles information related to the use of the Habits application, hereinafter the “Application”.
By using the Application, the user accepts the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Application controller
Developer: developedbyjacob
Contact email: kiktruedeveloper@gmail.com
2. Information entered in the Application
The Application allows users to create, edit, archive, and delete habits; set their frequency; mark habits as completed; view streaks and statistics; and configure reminders.
To provide these features, the Application may store information on the device such as:
- Habit names and settings.
- Daily, weekly, or custom frequency.
- History of completed habits.
- Streaks and progress statistics.
- The active or archived status of each habit.
- Times configured for reminders.
- Unlock status of the demonstration Premium mode.
This information is stored locally on the user's device and is not sent to servers operated by the developer. The developer cannot access, view, or retrieve the habits or statistics saved by the user.
3. Reminders and notifications
The Application allows users to schedule reminders for a specific time. To do so, it may request permission to show notifications. This permission is used solely to display reminders configured by the user.
Reminders are scheduled and managed locally on the device. The Application does not use habit content to send advertising or share it with third parties.
The user can modify or disable notifications in the Application settings or Android settings.
4. CSV data export
Users with access to the Premium feature can export their data in CSV format. Exporting only takes place when explicitly requested by the user. The file is saved to the location selected by the user or shared through the applications available on their device.
The developer does not receive a copy of exported files. When the user shares a file with another application or service, the subsequent processing of that file is subject to the privacy policy of the selected service.
5. Advertising through Google AdMob
The Application displays banner advertisements through Google AdMob, a service provided by Google.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share certain information, such as:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate the device's general location.
- Device or advertising identifiers, such as the Android Advertising ID or App Set ID.
- Information about interactions with the Application and advertisements.
- Diagnostic and performance information, such as errors, startup times, or SDK operation.
- Technical information about the device, operating system, and Application.
Google may use this information to show advertisements, measure their performance, perform analytics, limit their frequency, and prevent fraud or misuse. Depending on the user's location, settings, and consent, advertisements may be personalized or non-personalized.
Information processed by Google is subject to Google's terms and privacy policies. The user can view and change advertising preferences in the privacy and advertising settings of their Google account or Android device.
Information related to habits, streaks, reminders, and personal statistics is not deliberately sent to Google AdMob to personalize advertisements.
6. Advertising consent
In territories where legally required, the Application may display a message allowing the user to manage their privacy and advertising preferences.
The user may accept, reject, or modify certain options related to the use of data for personalized advertising, according to the options available in Google's consent message.
Withdrawing consent does not necessarily prevent advertisements from being shown, but they may be non-personalized or subject to more limited data processing.
7. Demonstration Premium features
The Application may limit the number of habits available to non-Premium users and offer a demonstration Premium unlock. This unlock is a trial feature and does not currently involve an actual purchase or the processing of banking or payment data by the developer.
If real purchases through Google Play are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect that change.
8. Sharing and rating the Application
The Application may include options to share it or access its rating page on Google Play. When using these options, the user may be redirected to Google Play or the Android sharing menu. Applications or services selected by the user may process information according to their own privacy policies.
The developer does not receive information about the rating submitted or the people with whom the user shares the Application.
9. Purpose of processing
The information described in this Policy is used to:
- Provide the main habit-tracking features.
- Store history and calculate streaks and statistics.
- Show configured reminders.
- Enable the voluntary export of information.
- Display and measure advertisements through Google AdMob.
- Maintain the security, stability, and operation of the Application.
- Prevent fraud and misuse related to advertising.
Information entered into habits is not sold or used by the developer for external commercial purposes.
10. Data retention and deletion
Locally stored habit data remains on the device until the user:
- Deletes a habit or its records.
- Clears the Application's data in Android settings.
- Uninstalls the Application.
- Uses any deletion feature available within the Application.
Because the developer does not receive or store this data on its own servers, it cannot delete it remotely or recover it after it has been deleted. Data processed by Google AdMob is retained according to the policies and periods established by Google.
11. Security
The Application uses the storage and security mechanisms provided by Android. However, no electronic system can guarantee absolute security. Users are advised to protect their device with a password, PIN, pattern, fingerprint, or another locking method.
Data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is sent over encrypted connections.
12. Children
The Application is not specifically designed for children and does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from minors.
If a parent or guardian believes that a minor has improperly provided personal information, they may contact the developer using the email address indicated in this Policy.
13. Third-party services
The Application may interact with external services, mainly:
- Google AdMob.
- Google Play.
- Android system services for notifications, storage, and sharing.
- Applications voluntarily selected by the user to open or share files.
Processing performed by these services is governed by their own privacy policies and terms of use.
14. User rights and control
The user retains control over habit data stored on their device and can view, modify, or delete it from the Application.
The user can also:
- Disable notifications in Android settings.
- Reset or delete the advertising identifier in the device's privacy settings.
- Manage Google advertising and privacy preferences.
- Clear the Application's data.
- Uninstall the Application.
For any privacy-related questions, the user can contact the developer at kiktruedeveloper@gmail.com.
15. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when new features, external services, or legal changes are introduced. The date of the last update will appear at the beginning of the document. Users are advised to review this Policy periodically to learn about any changes.
